Terms of Service

These terms explain how Medz Web Services works with clients. They are written in plain English so both sides know what is included, what is not included, and what happens if a project changes.

Medz Web Services is run by Robert Perham, based in Whareora, Whangārei, New Zealand.

These terms are designed to be clear and fair. They do not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand law.

1. Services

Medz Web Services designs, builds, launches, and supports websites. Services may include website design and build, mobile responsive layout, contact forms, Netlify hosting setup, custom domain connection support, SEO setup, AI-search/AIO setup, managed content edits, and custom integrations where agreed in writing.

2. Website packages

The standard packages are Starter, Pro, and Custom. Starter is a single-page website. Pro is usually up to five pages. Custom is scoped individually for larger or more complex projects. The price that applies is the price agreed in writing before the project begins.

3. Standard pricing and GST

Current standard pricing is Starter build fee + /month managed care; Pro ,800 build fee + /month managed care; Custom quoted per project.

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise. Medz Web Services is GST registered from 28 July 2026. GST will be added to invoices where applicable and clearly shown on quotes and invoices.

4. Zero-upfront pay-monthly option

Medz Web Services offers a zero-upfront pay-monthly option for approved clients who need to avoid the upfront build cost. This is not the same as the standard cancel-anytime managed care plan. A zero-upfront website spreads the build cost over time, so it has a minimum 12-month term.

• Starter Managed: upfront + /month for 12 months.
• Pro Managed: upfront + /month for 12 months.

The monthly amount covers the website build plus managed care during the minimum term. If a client cancels before the 12-month minimum term ends, the remaining build balance becomes payable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Managed care plan

Managed care may include hosting support, form support, basic technical checks, reasonable text/image/content edits, SEO/AIO upkeep for the existing site structure, basic fixes, and advice about domains, hosting, and website content.

“Unlimited edits” means reasonable content edits to the existing website. It does not mean unlimited redesigns, new features, new pages, new systems, major copywriting, e-commerce setup, custom integrations, or rebuilding the site.

6. Project process

A normal project moves through enquiry, consultation, agreed scope, client content/access, design and build, client review, final changes, and launch. The one-week delivery promise starts from outline approval and receipt of the content, access, and information needed to build the site.

7. Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for accurate business information, content, images, access, reviewing work in a reasonable time, paying invoices on time, and keeping domain registration details current. If the client delays content, access, or feedback, the delivery timeline may move.

8. Domains and third-party services

The client should usually own their own domain name. Medz Web Services can help connect a domain, but the client remains responsible for domain renewal, registrar access, and third-party fees unless otherwise agreed. Medz Web Services is not responsible for third-party outages or policy changes outside its control.

9. Ownership

Unless otherwise agreed, the client owns their business content, business name, logo, branding, and domain. Medz Web Services owns reusable methods, templates, code patterns, processes, and know-how. Once the agreed build fee or minimum term is paid, the client can keep using the launched website.

10. Payment

Payment terms are agreed before work begins. If payment is late, Medz Web Services may pause work, delay launch, or suspend managed care until payment is made. For zero-upfront pay-monthly agreements, the client agrees to pay the monthly amount for the full 12-month minimum term unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11. Cancellations

For standard managed care after launch, the client may cancel anytime unless a different written agreement applies. For zero-upfront pay-monthly agreements, the client cannot treat the first 12 months as cancel-anytime hosting. Early cancellation may require payment of the remaining build balance.

12. Revisions and changes

Each build includes reasonable review and refinement within the agreed scope. New pages, redesigns, new functionality, third-party integrations, major copywriting, or post-launch work outside managed care may be quoted separately.

13. SEO and AI-search optimisation

Medz Web Services sets up websites with technical SEO and AI-search/AIO foundations. This may include headings, metadata, sitemap, structured data, accessibility, performance, and llms.txt where appropriate. No specific Google ranking, traffic number, or AI recommendation is guaranteed.

14. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded under New Zealand law, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies. Medz Web Services will carry out services with reasonable care and skill and will try to remedy genuine problems promptly and fairly.

15. Limitation of liability

Medz Web Services is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, lost rankings, third-party outages, domain expiry caused by the client, or problems caused by incorrect information, missing access, or content supplied by the client. Where Medz Web Services is responsible for a problem, the first remedy will usually be to fix the issue within a reasonable time.

16. Portfolio use

Unless the client asks otherwise in writing, Medz Web Services may mention the project in its portfolio, case studies, social media, or marketing, including screenshots and a link to the finished website. Sensitive or private projects should be discussed before launch.

17. Communication

Normal communication is by phone, email, website form, or agreed project channel. Medz Web Services aims to respond within one working day, but response times may vary depending on workload, weekends, public holidays, illness, or emergencies.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
